EAST END LOOP attraction:

When entering Burke’s Garden at The Gap, take a left over the old Mill Dam to start the East Loop. Meandering about 9 miles around the eastern end of the Garden, following Gose Mill Road and Banks Ridge Road, then returning to Burke’s Garden Road south of the main Festival grounds, this route rewards the traveler with beautiful scenic vistas, Barn Quilts and possible wildlife sightings

E1. Mattie’s Place

First Stop on the East End Loop is the beautiful new Mattie’s Place log store. Here you will find Mattie Schlabach offering breakfast not only on Festival Day but every Saturday Morning. She will be featuring her special baked treats as well as lunch every day.

Check out her hard-to-find ingredients for your own kitchen along with unique crafts. You can also rent a bike for a more leisurely tour of Burkes Garden.

WEST END LOOP attraction:

Enjoy the West End Loop either by turning from Burkes Garden Road onto the West End Road (aka Race path) at the Old Post office (now Burke’s Garden Artisans Guild). Or approaching from the East End Loop. Turn onto Medley Valley Road near the foot of South Garden Mountain. See more barn quilts AND..

W1. Rolling Gardens Farm

Visit Vernon and Elizabeth Schmucker at their farm and greenhouse. A variety of fresh produce, including pumpkins, and beautiful fall mums will be for sale. Also, local honey, freshly homemade donuts & baked goods are waiting for you.

BURKE’S GARDEN ROAD attractions:

M1. Burke’s Garden General Store

Stop by the Burkes Garden General Store for a snack, come in and enjoy deli sandwiches, baked goods, all served by “The Schrock Ladies”. Check out the many new items among the canned goods, candies and bulk foods, etc. Beautiful Amish quilts are on display. Renovations this summer feature the beautiful wood interior by BG’s own Scenic Valley Woodworking.

M2. Festival Complex

In the center of Burke’s Garden Road is the heart of our Festival.

NEW!! ALL PARKING IS ON ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER!

Enter between the Community Center and Telephone Company.

The Burke’s Garden Volunteer Firemen prepare for & direct parking and gratefully accept donations to “The Boot” for this service – Note: Donations at other locations do not go to BGVFD.

Burke’s Garden Methodist Church

Start your day with a delicious Sausage Biscuit. Hotdogs with homemade chili, baked goods and Cold drinks are on the menu. Copper Kettle Apple Butter! The church doors will be open for visitors to enjoy the peace and beauty of the sanctuary.

Burke’s Garden Community Center

(aka The Old School)

Some things to bring with you: a folding chair or ground cloth to sit on and enjoy the full and varied slate of music on stage, a cooler to take home farm raised goodies, and a big appetite for fun!

M3. Burke’s Garden Post Office/Artisan Guild

Visit the former Burke’s Garden Post Office building, new home of the Burke’s Garden Artisan Guild where you can tour workshop spaces, be delighted by the wide array of member-created arts and crafts available for purchase; enjoy a display of local history.

M4.Burke’s Garden Lutheran Church

Stop in for a quiet break in our 1871 sanctuary, relax with your own picnic under the great oak, or stroll to the top of the 180 year old cemetery for a spectacular view of the Garden!
